Mercato Nuovo - 06.03.06

They still make a lot of leather, silk, and wool products in Florence, and a lot of them get sold here, outdoors, to tourists (and a few locals) looking to bargain. We look for scarves, wallets, and gloves. And we gaze longingly at a selection of leather jackets. Sure they're 150 euros, but they'd be so much more back home...

Meena loves to shop, and it turns out that she also loves to haggle. She walks away quite pleased, with two bags full of deals, deals, deals. As my father would say, "Wow. Looks like you 'saved' a lot of money today."
