Il Duomo, Siena - 07.03.06

This is a big and impressive cathedral. Better than Florence's. There, I said it. What are you gonna do about it, Florence? Only gripe: the entire facade is draped in scaffolding, so we have no good photo opportunities.

A side note: what, you might ask, is a "Duomo"? Is it a cathedral? A church? A church with a dome on it? We have decided we are willing to accept Wikipedia's definition. (The short version: it's a church, sometimes a cathedral, and whether it's got a dome is irrelevant.)
