Pisa - Campo dei Miracoli - 04.03.06

The Field of Miracles is swept by powerful wind gusts, and by a wave of Japanese, American, and Italian tourists. We like the look of the place: green grass, with the Baptistry dome, the Duomo, and the famous Tower spaced pleasantly around the area. We opt not to spend the time and euros to climb the Leaning Tower; instead we go inside the Duomo. It is, like most cathedrals, dark, hulking, and very impressive. Now we are really tired; we return to the airport and get on the train to Florence. I sleep.
