An electric appliance store in Siena - 07.03.06

We have voltage converter issues, so we've been hoping to find a new one. Our camera batteries are running low. We happened upon this store and figured they'd be able to help. We ask the lady who runs the place, "Parla inglese?" She shakes her head no and just stares at us. But we are not to be deterred. I spy what I want behind the counter and start pointing. We pantomime and guess at the right words, and she is at least able to point at the two plugs and say, "This U.S....this Italy." Good enough for us; we buy it and go.
