Mercato Centrale - 08.03.06

It's like the Mercato Nuovo, but bigger, stretching for several blocks in all directions. There's also a farmers' market, which shuts down by 2 PM each day and which we are too late to see. No matter; non-edible Florentine goods abound. Meena is not wearing a jacket and the afternoon has turned a little bit cool, so every leather vendor in the market is calling to her to step over and try on this or that beautiful calfskin coat. She checks out a few, but remains strong (and jacketless).
